 One of the best places to heal and find spiritual sustenance is the church.  We have a most special day coming Sunday, October 20th, 2024, at SPBC – Homecoming Sunday!  Service begins at 10:30 a.m.  I hope you will join us for our 128th celebration of Christ’s resurrection.  We will have delicious food and wonderful fellowship to enjoy in the Fellowship Hall following the worship service. 

This year’s Homecoming theme is “Home Is Where the Word Is.”  Jesus’ homecoming service in the temple at Nazareth

provides proof that home is where the Word is.  That’s where He read the scripture.  Our world today, including many churches, have set aside and even ignored God’s Word.  But a world, a church, a man, or a woman without the Word is emptiness exemplified and surely results in a lonely house where there is nothing comfortable to come home to.

Homecoming at SPBC is not only a worship service to show our appreciation for what God has given us, it is also an

opportunity to give back to Him a portion of what He has given us – it is really His anyway.  Everything is God’s!  We prove we believe that by how we spend our money, which He enables us to accumulate and manage.  The annual offerings at Homecoming always glorify God and provide the means of not only maintaining His Kingdom work at SPBC and her outreach communities, but also magnify His Holy Word.
